Old Flame is the debut album from folk/ rock, singer-songwriter, Liam Wright. The record is an emotive, raw and honest piece of work constructed with relatable and heartfelt lyrics that pull on those precious heart strings.

Recorded over the winter of 2022 and through the summer of 2023 the album features a highly respected list of Musicians based in Melbourne with features from Freya Josephine Hollick and Queenie.

About

Liam Wright is an Australian singer-songwriter hailing from Melbourne. His guitar hooks and unique vocals are a reminiscent mash up of folk and rock. His live performances are filled with raw emotion, all whilst encouraging a head bob or two with catchy melodies.  Performing as a 5 piece band Liam's live experience has been taken to a new level.

Influenced by some of the greats like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen etc… Liam strives to take his songs to another level with his dreamy story telling. In 2021 he released his second EP “Time Will Tell”, a small collection of songs about love and heartbreak.

The up and coming artist  has been described by the music tastemakers at Happy Mag as: "With a brooding and soulful folk tone, Wright is walking in the footsteps of Australian folk greats Angus Stone and Lisa Mitchell. With a lyrical maturity that by no means reflects his eighteen years, this Canberra boy is on his way to big things."

Liam Wright is an Australian singer-songwriter who bleeds folk and rock with heartfelt storytelling. Influenced by artists such as Neil Young, The War on Drugs and Wilco, Liam’s music shares that classic and timeless feeling and is best heard loud and in person with his star-studded band. 

This May he heads to the Ballroom at the Railway Fitzroy North with his gang of talented musicians, playing a special one off show to launch his latest single. His first release since his 2024 debut album “Old Flame”.
